The Dr. Arabin Hybrid Soft pessary is designed for the management of grade II–III uterine prolapse and certain forms of incontinence, particularly in patients with a sensitive vaginal mucosa. The transparent Soft version is indicated for normal physical activity, after surgery or childbirth, and for less pronounced prolapse.

Hybrid pessaries represent a specific development aimed at improving patient tolerance and autonomy. Their egg-shaped contour with concave suction areas provides better retention than conventional pessaries without widening the vagina. The device combines two mechanical effects: anterior support on the symphysis and lateral stabilization through recesses integrated into the wall.

The design allows central drainage of discharge or blood and simultaneous use of tampons. This pessary was developed for early pelvic floor disorders related to levator muscle lesions associated with an enlarged vaginal hiatus. Tensile force measurements showed a holding capacity approximately five times higher than that of conventional models.

The Hybrid Soft pessary is intended to support pelvic organs and relieve pressure and incontinence symptoms, including during pregnancy and the postpartum period, or when other pessaries are poorly tolerated or insufficiently retained.

The maximum uninterrupted wearing time is 30 days (Class IIa). However, it is recommended to remove the pessary every evening and reinsert it in the morning. The patient should be informed by a healthcare professional about use, changing and any concomitant therapy. The device is intended for single-patient use only. Before each insertion, the surface should be inspected; if cracks or discoloration are observed, the pessary must be replaced.

The pessary should be cleaned under running water, without the use of disinfectant. To ensure hygiene during self-management, a storage box may be recommended.
