Dr. Arabin perforated cube pessary with button

The Dr. Arabin perforated cube pessary with button is a medical device made of high-quality silicone. It features a button with a firmly welded thread, designed to facilitate handling, removal and replacement of the device by the patient.

Since its introduction, the product has been continuously improved in order to minimise the risk of thread dislocation. The pessary can be stored at temperatures between 0 and 50 °C, protected from UV radiation and without contact with reactive media, gas, ozone or mineral oil.

Indication / Intended use

The Dr. Arabin cube pessary is indicated for grade 3 to 4 genital prolapse. The perforated version is easier to handle than the non-perforated version.

Cube pessaries may also be used for:

• dissolution of scars,
• extension of vaginal obstructions,
• treatment of micturition or cohabitation problems,
• use prior to prolapse surgery to improve tissue circulation.

The flexibility of the material facilitates self-management by the patient after appropriate training by a healthcare professional.

Use and precautions

The maximum uninterrupted application period is 30 days (medical device Class IIa). However, it is recommended that the patient removes the pessary every evening and reinserts it in the morning.

The product is intended for single-patient use only and must not be used by other patients. Before insertion, the surface of the pessary must be inspected. In case of damage, the device must be replaced.

The cube pessary must be inserted with the button pointing towards the uterus and the thread directed towards the vagina. Cleaning may be carried out using running water, without the use of disinfectants.
